About Martin S. Manuel

I am a husband, father, grandfather, and ordained Christian minister. I published my first book, Dear Jason, in 2010. At that time, I was serving as a pastor of two Christian church congregations, but my life was disrupted by a life-threatening personal illness and shortly afterward by the serious illness of my grandson. Recovering from my personal illness, I stepped aside from pastoral ministry to devote myself to assisting my grandson (and his family) through recovery. In my spare time, I continued studies toward completion of a Masters degree in pastoral ministry – studies that started shortly after my commission to serve as a pastor. After resuming my return to ministry and completion of the MPM studies, I wrote two additional books: Echo of Jesus’ Prayer – in the Church, and Manuel Strong (a historical book about my parents and extended family members). Now, retired from pastoral ministry, I serve as a caregiver for another family member and continue to serve as an elder in my local church congregation.
